Kumbrabow State Forest - West Virginia’s highest forest.  Great for hiking and off-the-beaten path trout fishing
Snowshoe Mountain Resort – Offers everything from skiing to mountain biking and a while lot in between
Cass Scenic Railroad – Take a train ride back to the time of steam-driven locomotives
Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad – Tygart Flyer, Cheat Mountain Salamander and the Durbin Rocket travel historic railways through the region
Cranberry Glades – Botanical area offers a unique and exotic ecosystem on 750 acres
Dolly Sods – Dolly Sods is said to be a little bit of Canada placed and a bit to far south
Highland Scenic Highway – Scenic byway is a beautiful corridor through the national forest
Hills Creek Falls  – Three waterfalls…the tallest, at 63 feet, is the second highest waterfall in West Virginia
Seneca State Forest – West Virginia’s oldest state forest is named for the Indian tribe that once roamed the area
Spruce Knob – West Virginia’s highest peak at 4,863 feet above sea level
Watoga State Park – offers over 10,000 acres for recreational use
Bear Town State Park – Natural area of 107 acres, known for its unusual rock formations
Droop Mountain Battlefield – Site of West Virginia’s last significant Civil War battle
Rich Mountain Battlefield – One of the earliest engagements of the Civil War
Historic Beverly, WV – One of the first settlements west of the Alleghenies, the town is rich in Civil War history
Helvetia, WV – A small Swiss Village settled in the lush Allegheny Mountains, Helvetia was one of the first districts in the state to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places
Greenbrier River Trail – 77 mile trail for biking, hiking and recreational use along the Greenbrier River
National Radio Astronomy Observatory – has the worlds largest fully maneuverable radio telescope, it reaches 485 feet tall and weighs 17 million pounds
